Pedestrian struck in Edwardsville crosswalk, suit claims

An Edwardsville woman is suing the driver of the car she says hit her while in a marked crosswalk.
According to the complaint filed Oct. 12, Evelyn Thigpen was walking across the entrance to a parking lot in Edwardsville when Linda Stallard allegedly drove into the parking lot and hit her.
Thigpen accuses Stallard of negligence and is asking for more than $50,000 to pay for injuries, medical costs and court fees.
She is represented by attorney Kenneth B. Beljanski of Fairview Heights.
